What Kind of Video Camera Should I Use for the Web?

Choosing a camera for online video used to be a big challenge. Consumer video cameras are everywhere.  How do you sort it all out?

Now with the new Flip video Cameras, shooting your web video is as simple as “point and shoot” then “plug and play.  With a simple USB connection, you can be streaming your video on Youtube within minutes.  No complicated encoding is necessary.

Really, the best video cameras to use  are the cameras YOU will use.  The cheapest video cameras aren’t neccessarily the best but the new cameras are certainly affordable with a price point of under $200. Choose a simple camera and don’t get bogged down in complicated equipment.

I love my FlipHD. It is much more user friend to me than my Kodak Zi8. If you could help with a video on how to use their editing software I would be so appreciative.
I look forward to learning from you. I use video all the time.

Hi Beverly, I would imagine that the flip editing software is extremely intuitive. I personally do not own a flip camera because I use different cameras although I’ll likely purchase a flip very soon because it’s so convenient. I also use a professional editing platform.

Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of the flip software. Here’s a couple of tutorials I found on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLs8BN4kRKo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhUrSXNSRfU Also, you might consider just editing your files in windows movie maker, a better editing software. Just do what you love to and what you’re passionate about. Don’t keep caught up in the 40/40 plan. Sometimes you have to work a JOB for a while but build you own business. That’s the only way you can experience true time and financial freedom.
